Lodge Golf Tournament 2007
The tournament was held at Darlington Town Golf Club, on
25th April when 96 competitors took part in the day-long
tournament. There were two separate competitions of eight
and ten holes in the morning, and the eighteen hole main
competition in the afternoon.
Members from a variety of Lodges and many non-masons took
part.
They were well fed with bacon butties on arrival, pie and
chips etc at lunch time and a three course evening meal.
The evening was completed with the many presentations by
Alan Bainbridge our S. Warden, and entertainment by a local
comedian, Rudi West.
The overall winner was Mr. Nigel Doyle, and many others
gained prizes from the multitude of side competitions. The
whole event ran very smoothly, thanks to the excellent organisation
of Alan Dufton and the help he received from non-players
and the outstanding services of Darlington Golf Club.
